About Karen

Finding a competent personal trainer is difficult.

There are currently no Canadian standards set - enabling some people to take a weekend course, having no educational background in health or fitness. These trainers have little or no experience in preventing injuries, or treating injuries once they have occurred. They also have no base of reference for what exercises are safe for women of all ages.

I have a University degree in Physical Education.  With that solid base, I have been employed as a Kinesiologist for 16 years working with a variety of populations.

I have taken numerous post-graduate courses in rehabilitation, injury management, CPR and First Aid, and Personal Training.

I have enjoyed numerous years working in the rehabilitation field, working with everyone from homemakers with no previous exercise experience, to seasoned athletes recovering from a sports injury.

I have considerable experience training individuals following motor vehicle accidents as well as injuries sustained in the work place.


Harmony Personal Training offers one-on-one training in your own home with the use of an exercise ball, bands, and light weights. No need to purchase expensive equipment, or do complicated exercises.

Programs are updated regularly to avoid plateaus, and to increase motivation.

Karen provides in-home personal training in the city of Guelph, Ontario.
